This great Mt. Toubkal trek to the summit of the highest peak in North Africa is the culmination of WMT’s week-long Morocco Mountain Medicine Expedition for medics. We invite anyone to join us for the trek-only phase arriving Monday for dinner, bed and breakfast at the exotic Kasbah du Toubkal at the foot of the mountain in Imlil, about 1.5 hrs from Marrakech. We climb the mountain over the next two days and nights and descend and return to Marrakech Thursday to celebrate and explore the city. You’re free to depart anytime Friday but most people stay to play over the weekend. Our generous ascent profile has resulted in a 100% summit success rate over all our trips to these fabulous mountains. This expedition attracts delegates from all other the world. This option particularly appeals to full delegate friends/partners and past WMT delegates but all are welcome. This is not a package holiday – it’s a short, intense expedition to Africa!

Who’s invited?

Everyone! No prior climbing or expedition experience is required but you must be reasonably fit. EVERY delegate on all past expeditions has reached the 4167m summit. Once you arrive, all costs are covered in the fee. You just need to pay for flights and have suitable travel insurance. If holiday time is short and you want a quick, exotic high altitude adventure please join us! We guarantee to seamlessly integrate you into the main course group and make you welcome. Come alone or with friends.

Fees

The 2012 trek-only fee is £225 + €200 paid locally (held at 2011 rates) and includes:
- escorted Jbel Toubkal mountain climb
- group airport transfer Marrakech to Kashbah (Monday 1st Oct. only)
- full board accommodation (shared and mountain refuge) including all soft drinks at the Kasbah
- Marrakesh hotel & final group dinner/breakfast

Travel advice

There are many low-cost UK carriers that now fly directly to Marrakesh from a number of airports.
