To begin exploring the site, first decide which stream of courses is most appropriate to you, EXPLORER or MEDIC.
Courses for Explorers
Explorer courses represent one-stop shopping and expert training by doctors and nurses for non-medically trained people who want to learn advanced medical skills, use prescription medications abroad and obtain expert pre-travel medical advice. Far From Help 2-day foundation training includes medications. Advanced Medicine over 4-days also includes invasive procedures; suturing, injections and intravenous therapy. Expedition Skills combines Far From Help with off road driving and jungle craft over a seven day course. Emergency Medicine for Hostile Environments is a new, exciting course.
Courses for Medics
These are practical, inspiring and enjoyable courses to equip aspiring or seasoned expedition doctors and nurses with the knowledge, skills and insights needed to confidently provide effective medical support on any expedition. Courses range from two to seven days throughout the year in the UK, Chamonix and Morocco.
