Morocco MAX Mountain Medicine Expedition 2025

Expedition outline & key info

This exotic, educational and challenging trip is running 25 September to 1 October 2025. Starting from Marrakech, we’re returning to the remote eastern M’Goun region where we ran the expedition in 2023. It is wild, beautiful and the terrain is demanding which is why we’re calling it a MAX expedition.

There are three inter-woven elements to this exotic trip; wilderness medicine education, mountain skills and travel with this year’s objective being Mount M’Goun 4068m – the 3rd highest peak in North Africa, and of course the cultural immersion with local guides, cooks and traditional Moroccan food.

Medical training, tutorials and group work will be interspersed throughout the journey. Mules carry our teaching kit and a (well padded) laptop. You’ll experience inspiring teaching and how an expedition should be expertly administered and led. Delegates from diverse medical backgrounds and laypeople attend to immerse themselves in many facets of austere medicine.

Excellent preparation to become more confident in the hills and build the skills required of an expedition mountain medic.

Fully inclusive of in-country services, tuition/guiding and arrangements (food, accommodation, cooks, mules and transport). Spaces are strictly limited this year due to the strenuousness of the itinerary. Book early (with a deposit only) to get the EARLY BIRD PRICE AND SAVE! Estimated worth up to 30 CPD hours.
